"The registry operator, Uniregistry, has announced a number of significant price increases, taking place on September 8th, 2017 (00:00 UTC). For certain TLDs, customers are expected to pay up to 10 times the current amount. These drastic increases are inappropriate and end up undermining consumer trust in the new gTLD program.

In response to these changes, we have restructured our Uniregistry offering. We will continue to support the TLDs whose prices are increasing marginally, but will no longer support the (following) TLDs."

Effective Date Sep. 8, 2017

Basically, there simply wasn't enough demand for these TLDs, and so Uniregistry has increased the pricing to cover the high cost of ICANN fees and support costs.
